Statement By Dan and Gil Harrington

On December - 3 - 2009

The past few weeks have been particularly trying for our family as we face the holiday season without our daughter, Morgan. It is the community’s continued outpouring of love and support that helps us endure this difficult time each day. We thank the members of the non-profit group, Forgotten Victims, and the many others who will help spread the word about Morgan’s disappearance by marching in upcoming holiday parades at Vinton, Salem, and Roanoke, Virginia. Your support has helped lift our spirits when we needed it most.

Event Details:

A group from the Forgotten Victims, a non-profit for which Morgan Harrington used to volunteer, has organized “Let’s Bring Morgan Home for X-Mas” floats (cars) as part of upcoming holiday parades in Virginia. The cars will showcase www.FindMorgan.com signage, fliers will be distributed, and children from the Forgotten Victims organization will carry a Find Morgan banner.

The Vinton Christmas Parade: Thursday, December 3, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Salem Christmas Parade: Friday, Dec 4, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

City of Roanoke Annual Christmas Parade: Friday, Dec 11, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

I saw on TV show on teens being trafficked by pimps all accross America. MAny of them are advertized against their will on eros.com
I went to the site and saw that beautiful young women were being offered for escort services and many of them only showed a small oirtion of their faces. I went to the Virgina area and typed in looking for a blonde. MAny pages came up and their was one girl who had blonde hair and they only showed her from the mouth down but she looed sad and beautiful. I urge you to check out this site. Sadly, she might have fallen victim to this. I wish I could help you more.
    Good Luck.

I ponder over what happen to your daughter. I wonder where the person or persons go after they get involved like this. Are they on drugs? Are they crazy? I have never seen people taken from a music concert before. I doubt that it was planned real well. So far the people or person involved has been lucky, but everyone makes mistakes. Dressed like she was, she had to have trusted the person(s), or they stocked her movements, and then crossed the line of reason. I keep thinking but, I got no hints yet. I do believe you will find her. Keep up your hope, and figure that all phenomena can be explained; casual relations cause phenomena based on ideals.

Don’t give up faith, someone knows where Morgan is and it is most likely someone you least expect,

    Regards, Chris

I cant even imagine how difficult this must be for you and your family during with the holiday season coming. We haven’t given up. I haven’t met your daughter, however I have friends in JMU who have and as I’m sure you know many people are trying to do all they can. This may sound strange to you, but Morgan has become a symbol of hope and faith for some time now to almost everyone following her story. Hang in there. Someone knows something.

And if that ONE person out there who knows something is reading this- you are the most heartless, uncompassionate, cruel, evil, selfish coward in the entire world. You are watching Morgan’s family and friends suffer day after day, the entire United States is hurting for her and her family but you are too much of a coward to step up. You will reep what you sow, maybe not today or tomorrow, but one day you will whether you believe it or not.

  6. Paulette McWaters says:

My prayers continue to be with your family, God Bless.

I am praying for your family and for Morgan every day. I didn’t know her, but I’m a Hokie so I feel like we’re all one big family, and I won’t stop praying and spreading the word until she comes home. God Bless you this Christmas season.

  8. Maria says:

O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy holy Name, and as supplicants, we implore Thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin Immaculate and our Mother, and of the glorious St. Michael the Archangel, Thou wouldst deign to help us against Satan and all the other unclean spirits who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of souls. Amen.

Please all pray fervently for Morgan always and forever Amen.

  9. Jane says:
